In an effort to improve the comfort of our patients and help restore their vision, Grand River Optometry has invested in some of the latest technologies to diagnose and treat your dry eyes.

At the root of most of dry eye disease (over 85%) is a dysfunction of the meibomian glands. These oil glands, that are naturally found in both the upper and lower eyelids, get blocked and the oil that lubricates the eye does not get to the surface of the eye where it prevents tear evaporation.
